BitVPS users won't be needing to sign up for an account

BitVPS is planning to position itself as an anonymous VPS provider accepting different cryptocurrencies along with the decision to remove the account creation requirement.

Most of the VPS providers require users to share personal information to register. BitVPS claims, their users won’t need to sign up for an account to have a VPS service. Instead, they can select a server and pay for it with a wide variety of cryptocurrencies. The first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is accepted as a payment method. VPS hosting reseller BitVPS supports currencies include Bitcoin, XRP, Ether, Lisk, PIVX, Monero, and more.

Security concerns raised

For responding to the growing demand for anonymous and private online services, VPS hosting reseller BitVPS doesn’t require users to create an account. Instead of this, users will choose a server and pay for it with a wide variety of cryptocurrencies. BitVPS that doesn’t have its own data center plans in place to resell Vultr services shortly as well.

This decision raised some security concerns among Reddit users. There is an Acceptable Use Policy for users to adhere to. It provides taking legal action against such individuals may prove difficult. But the lack of personal user information can make it harder to identify, in the case of an attack includes DDoS attacks, Online Gambling, Phishing, and running a Ponzi Scheme.
