In order to protect enterprise networks from threats to mobile, IoT, unmanaged, and unpatched devices, Aruba and Microsoft have partnered thru Microsoft’s Intelligent Security Association (MISA). Microsoft Endpoint Manager is a management platform that includes Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune. In addition to this, ClearPass Policy Manager has also been integrated with Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), which was designed to help enterprises prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats.
Integration of policy management with endpoint security management
With this integration, ClearPass allows controlling access to critical network resources based on endpoint security intelligence provided by Microsoft.

Michael Tennefoss, vice president of Strategic Partnerships at Aruba, said,
“Protecting enterprises against attacks requires a holistic approach to security based on an open approach to device and application protection. Aruba’s ClearPass provides policy management on network infrastructure from any vendor, while Microsoft Endpoint Manager provides secure, integrated management of devices and applications from any source. Operating in concert, ClearPass and Microsoft Endpoint Manager address endpoint security for a very broad range of IT, IoT, BYOD and operational technology (OT) devices and applications used in different vertical markets.”
Aruba ClearPass is a policy enforcement platform that provides fine-grained policy enforcement based on a device’s role, type, authentication method, EMM/MDM attributes, device health, traffic patterns, location, and time-of-day. Microsoft Endpoint Manager is an end-to-end management solution without the complexity of migration or disruption to productivity.
