Governance across security posture, identity, compliance, and cost management provider for the cloud, CloudSphere, announced the appointment of former Google and Microsoft executive, Jane Gilson as the new CEO, the successor to Patrick McNally. With her extensive international experience, her background with Software as a Service models, and her understanding of cloud customer needs, she will help CloudSphere scale to the next level in her new role. CloudSphere’s new CEO’s background spans growing a multi-billion-dollar division at Google, heading worldwide business strategy at Microsoft, co-founding a venture-backed company, and mentoring several technology startups.
Extensive international experience
Before her new career at CloudSphere, Gilson served as Microsoft’s general manager of business strategy, and Google’s director of large customer sales for emerging markets. During her leadership, Google’s emerging market division grew over 66% and she has also managed businesses ranging from $100M to $5B, and also founded The Scout Group, a pro-bono business advisory service dedicated to helping small businesses scale. Jane Gilson, CEO, CloudSphere, said,
