While Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet’s Google dominate the field of data storage worldwide, OVH and Dassault Systemes are two of the companies in France that have been racing to develop their businesses. OVH announced its partnership with Google Cloud. This partnership would allow it to bring some of the U.S. firm’s technology into services which its teams would operate and run in Europe.
Expansion in Europe and in the US
“Listening to our customers, partners and policymakers in Europe, we understand their need for even greater control and autonomy,” according to Google Cloud’s Chief Executive Thomas Kurian. The two firms did not disclose any financial details.
Last month, OVHcloud, announced the expansion of its OVHcloud Public Cloud services in the US. OVHcloud’s public cloud delivers a full range of computing, storage, network and orchestration tools, billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. The company provides public cloud services in the US from two regions, US-EAST-VA-1 and US-WEST-OR-1.
