Communications infrastructure provider and underground data center owner, Bluebird Network completed its $11.5 million expansion of the Bluebird Underground Data Center in Springfield Missouri. The expansion was announced in November of 2019 and the project delivers more than 11,500 square feet of additional white space, increased power capacity, and efficiencies to enhance the facility’s value, reliability, and capabilities. The facility now offers over 29,000 square feet of white space.

Bluebird Network expansion includes upgraded underground generating capabilities totaling 6MW of power, the latest lithium-ion Uninterruptible Power Supply, a third primary metered electrical grid connection, and new intelligent management systems. Bluebird Underground Data Center also underwent a Data Center Infrastructure Management platform implementation. It provides benefit from enhanced, continuous operations monitoring.
