G-Core Labs, an international provider of cloud and edge solutions, continues its expansion in the Latin American market. The company opens a new point of presence for its network infrastructure in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. According to Citrix’s independent analytics system, the location offers customers fast content delivery services with an average response time of 30 ms.
5 new CDN points of presence
According to the plan that has already announced its plans earlier this year, G-Core Labs will open 5 new CDN points of presence here by the end of the year. Therefore, the company aims to claim a constant leadership in the delivery speed of even the heaviest types of content in this region.

Dmitry Samoshkin, G-Core Labs vice president of products, said,
“The point of presence in Argentina is an important element of the Latin American segment of G-Core Labs infrastructure. The country is one of the three leading economies in the region and shows a consistent growth rate of Internet penetration: if today the world network is used by about 70% of the population of Argentina, by 2025, it is expected that 75% of residents of this country will regularly work, buy, watch and play using the Internet. We also note the interest in the region from our global clients from the e-commerce, gaming and media industries.”
The point of presence is in a certified Tier III class data center. G-Core Labs CDN supports all necessary protocols, including HTTP/2 (by default), SSL and IPv6, and also provides flexible system configuration options: access through the API, opportunities to pre-load heavy files, to clear cache completely or selectively, to set and manage cache storing time, cache return, inheriting caching parameters, to ignore request parameters and cookies, etc.
