GDS announces the acquisition of a data center campus in the Shunyi district of Beijing. The data center is 8 kilometers away from the GDS’ existing Beijing 5 data center. The campus holds three data centers with a total area in service and under construction of approximately 19,700 square meters. The total enterprise value of the acquistion is around $348.4 million including future improvements.
BJ10, BJ11, and BJ12
First half of the acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2020. The first of three data centers will be named Beijing 10 or BJ10 and has a net floor area of approximately 6,400 square meters. Second data center will be named BJ11 and has a net floor area of approximately 6,500 square meters and the final data center will be named BJ12 and net floor area of the third data center is approximately 6,8000 square meters.
