Cloud services and hosting provider Hostopia Australia signed a long term deal with digital infrastructure company Equinix. According to the announcement, Hostopia Australia will consolidate its current footprint of five separate data centers across Sydney and Melbourne into Equinix’s state of the art SY5 and ME2 International Business Exchange (IBX) data centers.
Launching a new private and hybrid cloud offering
The SY5 facility is Equinix’s largest data center in Australia. This consolidation will improve service delivery and connectivity for over 50,000 Hostopia customers across ANZ.

With the deployment, Hostopia Australia’s managed cloud brand, Anchor’s customers can access the Equinix Fabric. Moreover, Hostopia launched its new private and hybrid cloud offering which will trade under the Anchor name. Platform Equinix will provide Hostopia with extra capabilities.
