World’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone, Hurricane Electric has deployed a new PoP in Arrow Group’s Calgary data center. It is located strategically to serve the area’s many energy and high-tech businesses. Users will be able to cross-connect to tier-one providers, as well as Calgary Internet Exchange. The new PoP is the company’s second in Calgary and 16th in Canada.

Hurricane Electric’s PoP will provide businesses with improved fault tolerance, load balancing, and congestion management in the delivery of next-generation IP connectivity services. Arrow Group customers can now access various new connectivity options and access to Hurricane Electric’s extensive IPv4 and IPv6 network through 100GE, 10GE, and GigE ports. The company’s global network offers more than 20,000 BGP sessions with over 8,000 different networks via more than 250 major exchange points. Mike Leber, President, Hurricane Electric, said,
