The Mellanox Quantum LongReach, a device built with the Mellanox Quantum’s InfiniBand solution switch technology, provides up to two long-reach InfiniBand ports and eight local InfiniBand ports. They can deliver up to 100Gb/s data throughput for distances of 10 and 40 kilometers. Also, it aims to provide high-speed and full RDMA connectivity between remote compute and storage infrastructures.
Extended ability on remote InfiniBand platforms
It comes with the extended availability of InfiniBand’s high data throughput, native Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) communications and advanced routing and Mellanox Scalable Hierarchical Aggregation and Reduction Protocol (SHARP) to remote InfiniBand platforms.
