Nxtra Data Limited, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation for setting up two new data center campuses in the state. The new facilities will be located in Mumbai and Pune respectively. Nxtra already operates two large data centers in Maharashtra. Additionally, the company has multiple Edge data centers across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nagpur & Kolhapur.
10 large data centers and more than 120 edge data centers
Nxtra by Airtel offers secure data center services to various Indian and global enterprises, hyper-scalers, start-ups, SMEs, and governments. The company’s portfolio of 10 large data centers and more than 120 edge data centers provide customers with co-location services, cloud infrastructure, managed hosting, data backup, disaster recovery, and remote infrastructure management. The Caryle Group through its entities announced an investment of USD 235 mn for a 25% stake in Nxtra recently. Rajesh Tapadia, CEO, Nxtra, said,
