The third data center of PT DCI Indonesia, named JK3 is a seven-story establishment with four data hall floors and the remaining floors for M&E equipment. The construction will be completed in a collaboration with Equinix and when it is operational in earl 2020, it will have a total IT load of 12 MW. The other 2 data centers operated by DCI are also located in Cibitung and, JK1 has a capacity of 3 MW and JK has a capacity of 7 MW.
Fast-growing economy
The number of hyper-scale data centers in Southeast Asia is increasing fast. DCI is also noted that the reasons behind the decision to construct the JK3 data center were startup companies with a valuation of more than $1 billion, population and the growing digital economy in the region.
