Raxio’s new facility in Uganda will be launched in 2020’s first quarter. The data center is expected to be the cornerstone of digitization in the country. Global carrier partner SEACOM aims to drive the internet in Uganda closer to businesses with affordable, reliable, and quality internet connectivity.
First-tier III data center in the region
When fully built, Raxio Uganda will host 400 racks and deliver 1.5 MW of power in a fully redundant, high-security environment. The data center will operate according to the Tier III standards facility. Raxio Uganda claims that it will offer a wide variety of connectivity options, providing diversity and flexibility for the SEACOM customers.
Robert Mullins, executive director at First Brick Holdings, the parent company of Raxio said:
Bringing SEACOM on board is a testament to the growing recognition of Raxio Uganda as the go-to partner for cross-connects, delivering robust enterprise-grade, open-access data infrastructure, optimized and deployed to meet our customers’ needs. We are also delighted with the opportunity to explore new opportunities to work together in the broader region.
