Singapore-based SpaceDC has announced the launch of its new data center, JAK2 to serve the internet population of the world’s fourth most populous country. The data center will also act as a gateway to other countries in the region. The new facility is located on the SpaceDC ID01 data center campus and provides 1.45MW IT capacity.

Tier III Design certified facility also offers a two-story administration building. JAK2 also offers green features, such as thermal wall technology and high efficiency electric air-cooled chillers. It also includes a PUE of 1.3. A selective catalytic reduction unit to lower carbon emission. The facility also has an onsite natural gas power generator. The power plant is hooked up to Indonesian natural gas company Perusahaan Gas Negara and reclaims waste heat.
