Leviton completed its acquisition of Berk-Tek, a U.S. manufacturer of fiber-optic and copper network cabling. With the acquisition, Leviton becomes a single-source manufacturer of end-to-end systems, including connectivity and cable, for customers around the world. The company also states that as a unified brand, Leviton Network Solutions provides a more consistent interface, clearer communication about products, and smoother customer experience.
Single-source manufacturer of end-to-end systems
With the acquisition, Berk-Tek becomes a subsidiary of Leviton Manufacturing, reporting to the Network Solutions Business Unit. According to the announcement, existing warranties offered by Leviton and Berk-Tek will be honored and continue until further notice. Daryoush Larizadeh, president and chief operating officer of Leviton said,
