New tools and improvements have been introduced in the cPanel & WHM version 84.
cPanel & WHM Version 84 introduces new tools and improvements. New cPanel & WHM includes PowerDNS for DNS clustering, DNSSEC improvements, an overhauled Apache Configuration file, and multiple interface updates.
DNSSEC Clustering with PowerDNS
PowerDNS was already the choice of the DNS Management tool of cPanel & WHM for several versions. Request for DNSSEC clustering has become more popular. DNSSEC protects users from a variety of attacks, including DNS spoofing or Man-in-the-Middle Attacks. DNSSEC combined with DNS Clustering provides the means to add security do your DSN clusters, by using digital signatures and cryptographic keys to validate that the DNS responses are authentic, thus creating a chain of trust.
Let’s Encrypt and Security Features
The Let’s Encrypt plugin is now being updated to use the new Let’s Encrypt’s API. This update allows continues support of users who rely on the plugin. The updated plugin accommodates Let’s Encrypt’s rate limit changes and secure wildcard subdomains.
With the new interface implemented into WHM, users can block emails that originate from certain countries or domains. Also with the new Zone Editor interface, users will be able to import and manage the DNSSEC key easily.
