GoDaddy has announced that the company is acquiring Neustar’s registry business, but financial details of the transaction were not announced publicly. According to the online sources, GoDaddy is paying $218 million for this transaction.

With this acquisition, GoDaddy will be controlling both the wholesale and retail side of the many domain names. Neustar is owned by a private equity consortium led by Golden Gate Capital, that bought the business in 2017.
Nicolai Bezsonoff, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Neustar’s Registry business will lead the new service and it will be called GoDaddy Registry. Nicolai Bezsonoff, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Neustar’s Registry business said,
