If your site looks professional, with proper content, such as images and texts, it will definitely boost your prestige. It is also a tricky decision, so it would be beneficial if you can consult experts and visitors about the design of your website.

Navigation

Navigating on your website should be easy for everyone. If a customer is trying to find a piece of information about a product or trying to find out where your store is located, it should always be a few clicks away, otherwise, it would be frustrating and they’ll start checking other options. High bounce rate means your visitors can not find whatever they are looking for and it also affects your SEO negatively.

According to research, 60% of browsing is made on mobile devices. However, not all websites are still mobile-friendly. So if you haven’t check it for a while, take a look at your website on your smartphone and if you are not satisfied with the result, you can consider choosing a responsive theme next time that works well with most mobile devices.

Security

Especially if you are selling products or services online, security is one of the most important factors that can determine your company’s revenue. No one gives credit card information to a website that they don’t trust. So make sure your new website is completely safe, via SSL certificate and updating the software you are using as soon as possible.

Loading speed

We all know one of the most annoying things while browsing is to wait for a page to load. If your visitors are waiting for more than a few seconds for your page to load, they will probably switch to another tab on their browser. To avoid such situations, you should check if there is something wrong with your website’s codes or your web hosting company and basically change the thing that slowing your website.

Up-to-date

Information you are giving to the visitor on your website should be up-to-date, always. If one of your products is out of stock or your company changed locations or phone numbers, you should change it on your website too. Publishing wrong or inadequate information on your website can ruin your reputation in the eyes of your visitors or customers.

In conclusion, you can put yourself in a customer’s shoes and check your website with different devices. Try finding out a piece of information, check how it looks, how fast it is, or can it explain what you are doing clearly. If you are not convinced with results, maybe it is time for a change. In the world of the internet, changing to meet the expectations of visitors or customers is a top priority necessity.
