Communications infrastructure provider and underground data center owner, Bluebird Network announced the completion of a fiber expansion in Hannibal Missouri. To support a 5G network in the area, it connects 16 small cell towers and brings the total number of fiber miles in the city to 13.5 miles.
4.5-mile fiber expansion

According to the announcement, the expansion adds 45 near-net building to the company’s network in the area. It raises the total number in the city to 554. Bluebird Network also stated that the company’s network is now passed a total of 60,000 on-net and near-net buildings and the company plans to complete several new projects in the coming year. Michael Morey, President and CEO of Bluebird, said,
