The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers announced that due to the impact of the pandemic, ICANN70 will be held as a Virtual Public Meeting on 22-25 March. The event was initially planned to be held in Cancún, Mexico. ICANN70 will be the 4th one since the beginning of the global pandemic. ICANN board also stated that they will implement several community suggestions to enhance the virtual experience.
Fourth ICANN Virtual Public Meeting
ICANN also announced that they also appreciate the importance of face-to-face interaction and looks forward to a return to in-person ICANN Public Meetings. ICANN will work in coordination with the ICANN community to meet the expected outcomes of an ICANN Community Forum and support the community’s ongoing priorities, policy advice, and development.
