LiteSpeed Technologies announced the availability of QUIC.cloud DNS, which is capable of detecting user DNS configuration and modifies and adjusts it as needed. The new service provides better integration with the CDN solution, and also provides more accurate geolocation for the visitors. This feature allows CDN to make a more informed decision about which node to serve a request from.
The new DNS service also includes a feature called EDNS-Client-Subnet, or ECS for short. The feature provides whereby a visitor’s subnet is provided as part of the DNS query. It allows the CDN service to use accurate location information to make better-informed node selections, which means the site travels a shorter distance to a visitor providing a faster and better user experience. QUIC.cloud DNS is available only for QUIC.cloud CDN users, free of charge.
