RingCentral, a provider of global enterprise cloud communications, collaboration, and contact center solutions, announced a new data center in Frankfurt, and a new office in Hamburg, Germany. With this expansion, RingCentral offers a cloud-based unified communications platform that combines team messaging, video conferencing and cloud telephony in one application.
A data center for local needs
Additionally, RingCentral will offer customers local data storage, the ability to register endpoints within the country and keep voice and video calling media local. With this new data center, users will access to local telephone numbers and emergency services in accordance with local laws and regulations.
This data center meets the requirements of the European Union Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalog (C5), which forms the basis of security controls developed by the Federal Office for Information Security in Germany.
