Sparkle, the Italian international service provider, announces the enhancement of its American backbone boosting its Pacific routes with a new fiber pair on Curie submarine cable system connecting Chile to the US. Additionally, Sparkle’s new fiber pair on Curie is the first direct new generation US-Chile cable connecting Los Angeles to Valparaiso.
A part of the expansion
This new fiber pair will have integration to Sparkle’s global backbone. Sparkle aims to increase redundancy and to complete its 2017 addition of the Seabras-1 cable in the Atlantic. Sparkle focused on the Pacific South American coast with a direct US-Chile route by providing as easy onward connectivity to the rest of the world.
Earlier this week, the company opened a new PoP in Casablanca to expand into North Africa. With this new PoP in Casablanca, Sparkle is providing corporate communication services to multinational enterprises.
