Namecheap launched the Validation.com service to help businesses to confirm the identity of customers.
Namecheap released the new identity verification service with a great domain name. Validation.com allows companies to confirm the identity of customers for situations like preventing chargeback and Know Your Customer (KYC) rules. With a submission link, businesses can select the identity documents need to be submitted by the customer, such as government-issued ID or a utility bill.
No database needed
Validation.com is a self-service tool, so it doesn’t check the information via databases. The company can validate a government-issued ID against a selfie or verifying that the name matches on a credit card with the identity card. Validation.com plans start at $9 per month.
The service can be beneficial for both small and large businesses with their KYC rules. Validation.com also allows companies to do identity verification manually but that means receiving sensitive data from customers. Most small businesses would avoid handling sensitive data due to regulations.
