What is CompTIA?
The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is a tech association that leads certification programs, from our original research to our member communities and councils, our unparalleled programs set industry standards, foster skills development and generate knowledge and insight every day. Through education, training, certifications, advocacy, philanthropy, and market research, CompTIA can be defined as a hub for advancing the tech industry and its workforce. It provides self-training tools, instructor led training and free training resources to prepare for certification exams. It offers cybersecurity, infrastructure, and additional professional certifications.
One of the most important certifications, CompTIA Cloud+ focusses on incorporating and managing cloud technologies as part of broader systems operations. The recommended experience for the certificate is at least 2-3 years in the system administration field. CompTIA Cloud+ is a vendor-neutral, performance-based certification that covers more than a specific vendor or a single function. Cloud+ tests candidates’ ability to analyze system requirements to successfully execute workload migrations, allocate the resources and apply necessary changes properly, apply appropriate maintenance processes, implement security controls, and troubleshooting. It is also possible to renew certifications before the expiration date through Comptia. Being a member of Comptia provides many benefits like offering a host of Public Sector councils and committees, additional resources, networking and event opportunities.
