CoreSite Realty Corporation, or formerly known as CRG West is a real estate investment trust that mainly focuses on investing in carrier-neutral data centers. The company headquarter is located in Denver, Colorado and currently has over 1,350 customers. CoreSite offers colocation and peering services to its customers. CoreSite owns 24 data centers in 8 markets, including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Northern Virginia, San Francisco/San Jose, California, Santa Clara, California, and Washington, D.C. The company announced that it has reached a revenue of $572 million in the fiscal year 2019.

CoreSite was founded in 2001 as CRG West. For 8 years, the company expanded its data center footprint in North America. In 2009, the company rebranded itself as CoreSite and announced IPO in 2010, started trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

In 2012, CoreSite acquired Comfluent to enter the Denver market. The company also became the first AMS-IX enabled data center operator in North America. During the following year, CoreSite’s Northern Virginia data center campus was chosen as one of the locations for its first North American peering exchange by London Internet Exchange. In 2016, the company expanded its services at its Reston, Virginia facility in conjunction with the $60 million acquisition of Sunrise Technology Park in 2017.

The company also expanded its services at the Washington D.C. facility. CoreSite received a contract from Voxility for a large colocation deployment in 2017. In 2019, the company achieved at least 20% women on its corporate board and was named a Winning “W” Company by 2020 Women of Boards.
