CT launches new ransomware protection and cloud backup for Office 365

Cloudian announced that Central Technology Limited (CT), a UK cloud services provider and Veeam Cloud & Service Provider (VCSP), has released new ransomware protection and Office 365 backup services built on Veeam software and Cloudian’s HyperStore Object Storage Platform.

Data immutability

CT provides managed services, cloud, and business continuity. To meet its customers’ evolving data protection needs, the company collaborated with Veeam Cloud & Service Provider and Cloudian. Under the partnership, new ransomware protection and Office 365 backup services were built on Veeam software and Cloudian’s HyperStore object storage platform. This backup solution makes backup data copies immutable to ensure the availability of an uninfected copy for quick, reliable recovery in the event of a ransomware attack.

Christopher Barr, technical director at CT, talked about the new products, saying,

“Enhancing our Veeam environment with Cloudian reflects CT’s commitment to employing best-of-breed technology to help our customers protect their data in an ever-evolving world. As our new ransomware and Office 365 backup services demonstrate, Cloudian’s limitlessly scalable and highly cost-effective object storage is a key element of our ability to expand our business and deliver greater value to our customers.”

Secure cloud backup for Office 365

In addition to this new ransomware protection launch, CT introduced Secure Cloud Backup for Office 365 that provides comprehensive backup and replication. CT’s Secure Cloud Backup for Office 365 leverages Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 and Cloudian HyperStore. It comes with unlimited storage and retention for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business. With this product, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 backs up business-critical Office 365 data directly to HyperStore.

In order to inform customers about ransomware protection and products, a webinar will be held on May 13 featuring representatives from CT, Veeam and Cloudian at https://bit.ly/2YfyF2M.
