Novosco has made a big investment in a dedicated security operations center in Belfast.
Novosco, a CANCOM company, will provide specialist IT security services to organizations across the UK and Ireland at the new Security Operations Center. The investment of more than half a million pounds includes the creation of a highly secure facility and also the training and recruitment of the 12 dedicated team members. The center will be operational 24 hours per day, seven days per week to serve Novosco’s clients.
7/24 monitoring and analyzing
The new recruits will be recently graduated from a specialist cybersecurity academy run by Belfast Metropolitan College which is working with Novosco. Security professionals of the Security Operation center will monitor and analyze the clients’ IT systems to prevent security risks and attacks.
Managing Director John Lennon says:
“Cybersecurity is at the forefront of the minds of businesses and organizations across the public, private and voluntary sectors. It is business-critical that these organizations secure, protect and monitor their IT systems to prevent breaches that could have very significant repercussions. We have invested significantly in the capital infrastructure, technology, and people to make sure that we have an offering that meets the requirements of organizations with complex and sophisticated cybersecurity needs.”
