PHP 7.4.0, the fourth feature update to the PHP 7 series is released. The latest version of the PHP scripting language is out with a better performance. The Foreign Function Interface (FFI) extension, arrow functions, typed properties are the highlights of PHP 7.4.0. Type declarations are now supported by class properties. The Short Arrow Functions RFC proposed by Nikita Popov, Levi Morrison, and Bob Weinand provides a shorthand syntax for defining functions with implicit by-value scope binding. The Foreign Function Interface (FFI) for accessing C structures / functions / variables from PHP code is now available.
