The PHP development team introduced the immediate availability of PHP 7.4.0 which comes with several improvements, new features and a number of prominent language additions.
PHP 7.4.0, the fourth feature update to the PHP 7 series is released. The latest version of the PHP scripting language is out with a better performance. The Foreign Function Interface (FFI) extension, arrow functions, typed properties are the highlights of PHP 7.4.0. Type declarations are now supported by class properties. The Short Arrow Functions RFC proposed by Nikita Popov, Levi Morrison, and Bob Weinand provide a shorthand syntax for defining functions with implicit by-value scope binding. The Foreign Function Interface (FFI) for accessing C structures / functions / variables from PHP code is now available.
