Blizzard finally revealed 2 gothic and dark themed trailers of the much-anticipated sequel. It is not a secret that last year was harsh for the Blizzard. First Diablo Immortal, the mobile version of the long-awaited series angered thousands of Blizzard fans to a point that Blizzard had to remove the trailer from Youtube and re-uploaded it to get rid of the dislikes.
Back to the roots
Blizzard also announced that there won’t be an HGC, official Heroes of the Storm tournament in 2019, that left many e-sports professionals in a difficult situation. And of course finally, the Hong Kong scandal that led to many former Blizzard fans to share images of burning their Blizzard products to protest the company.
We will have to wait to see that if Blizzard can make up with their former fans once again or not. But unfortunately, we will be waiting for a long time. There is no information about an exact release date but Blizzard says that it will not be soon. Considering the 12 years gap between Diablo II and its successor, it is not a big surprise.
According to the presentation at BlizzCon 2019, the new game will take place many years after the events of Diablo III. Director Luis Barriga claimed that the new Diablo game will return to “dark roots” which can also be seen at the trailers. Barriga also says that they are working on the world of Sanctuary, where players can group up, trade or kill each other in PvP zones.
Blizzard lets us see the first 3 classes
The Barbarian, known for their unparalleled strength and brutal melee combat, utilizes a new and more powerful system in battle, Arsenal, which arms them with the ability to carry and rapidly switch between four different weapons at a time by assigning them to individual attacks.
The Sorceress hearkens back to their Diablo II roots and shapes the elements to obliterate their foes by impaling them upon jagged spikes of ice, electrocuting them with bolts of lightning, or raining flaming meteors from the sky.
The Druid is a savage shapeshifter whose updated playstyle empowers them to fluidly transform between a werewolf, werebear, and human form to unleash the raw power of nature’s fury on the forces of the Burning Hells.
